The Project

The Primary Problem report was released by the Unite America Institute in 2021, presenting new data and synthesizing existing research on partisan primaries. In 2022, the Institute will provide real-time analysis, research, and commentary on partisan primaries as they happen across the country.

The Unite America Institute is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to encourage broad-based, nonpartisan civic engagement and political participation through research and scholarly analysis on important issues of public concern, including the root causes, effects, and potential solutions to political polarization and partisanship.
